Year it was founded: 2019
Problem it solves: Filling the talent gap by helping companies hire game-changers.
As the war for talent is never-ending, attracting, recruiting and retaining talent is getting more challenging. Founded in the UK, leap9 has recently set up in Duabi to solve one of the biggest challenges growing companies face and help them find and recruit the right talent. AstroLabs had a chat with Dani Blizzard, Regional Director MENA.
We are a talent & people science collective that have come together from some of the fastest growing tech businesses such as: Google, Careem, Amazon, The Hut Group, Awin and Accenture to help entrepreneurial companies scale with a team who are deeply familiar with the people and cultural challenges created by high growth.
As top issues that leaders face today include attracting and retaining talent, developing talent, managing performance, creating leadership teams, organisational design and making culture a competitive advantage, we put people at the heart of your growth agenda by developing and implementing bespoke talent strategies to suit their business needs. At the core of leap9 is an embedded talent acquisition model where we provide dedicated in-house support, recruitment, culture & values assessments, hiring strategy and operations, interview skills training, job descriptions and employer branding.
One-stop-shop recruitment approach
It’s no secret that recruiting and retaining talent is critical to an organization’s success. After all, an organization is only as strong as the collective talent of the people who work there. At leap9, we’re trying to solve typical people challenges faced by every growing business. People are a critical enabler to growth, yet most startups may not know where to start — recruitment, culture, performance management — all are important yet where is it best to focus time and investment.
Moreover, businesses can find themselves having to use a wide range of agencies or consultancies, each with their own niche specialty and rate cards. leap9 is here to change that; by employing a team of multi-disciplinary experts we provide a one-stop-shop type of approach. We operate as a long-term partner who can plug into an organisation and have an incredibly deep understanding of you and your company to provide a full-people and talent offering.
Leveraging advances in people science
Our dedicated in-house team is led by Dr Abigail Phillips who holds a PhD in Occupational Psychology. Her specialties include talent assessment, organisational culture, and people analytics. The team are passionate about human performance and committed to the development of innovative solutions that challenge prevailing outdated practices. We are building a suite of proprietary tools including TalentProfile™, employee engagement+ diagnostic to provide unique insight into employee experience and leap9’s digital dashboard which is a SaaS platform that captures critical talent data and provides actionable insights to drive success.
We want to be known as the global digital talent lead by helping the most ambitious companies grow while filling the current talent gap with tech talent from our own academies.
